Since 2003, the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity and their Sponsored Ministries have hosted pilgrimages to Assisi and Rome, Italy. The invitation list includes our CEOs, administrators, board members and others who have significant responsibility in carrying forward the mission of Franciscan institutions.
Pilgrims visit important locations associated with St. Francis and St. Clare, as well as explore the values and principles of Francis as translated into the leadership of modern institutions. Pilgrims have ample time to pray, learn and play together in an atmosphere infused with Franciscanism.
The goal of these 10-day journeys is to develop leaders for the future and deepen in them the values and vision contained in our Franciscan heritage. The programs are planned in conjunction with Franciscan Pilgrimage Programs, Inc., of Franklin, Wisconsin.
